Every few days I try something new with Ansel. On the 4th I put him in his bouncy vibrating chair for the third time. The first two times he was not into it. This time, coupled with the pacifier he stayed content for about 20 minutes. The pacifier kept falling out of his mouth so I had to keep putting it back however the fact that he tolerated sitting in the chair for so long was great. We went to grandma and granddad Montes's for dinner. Ansel was awake a long time and fell asleep at 7 pm for 3 hours 45minutes! A new record. Unfortunately, it was not while we were sleeping. Part of that time he was swaddled in the co-sleeper (45 mins, another record!). It helps me get through the harder times (sleepless nights and non hands free days) when he does new things and changes. It gives me hope. I go to a mommy and me group and they always say, "This too shall pass." I am afraid these early weeks are passing too fast!
We took Ansel up into the Oakland hill to see fireworks because it was such a clear night. He slept through them.
We think he is about 9.5 lbs now. I weighed myself alone and then holding Ansel and gained about 9.5 lbs. with him. He is outgrowing clothes already.
