Work and Play

Ansel has been sleeping better since the last blog. The next three nights he slept right through. Then, the fourth night he woke up and I went in to tell him to go back to sleep and assure him that he had been abandoned and within 5 minutes he was asleep. So, no more night time feedings. Yeah! Since then if he wakes he has gone back to sleep on his own or with a quick Ferberizing of a hug and a kiss.
Whew!

I went back to work this week. I hate leaving him to go to work. Work itself is fine. We had a hot week and Ansel enjoyed playing in a water bucket on Grandma and Granddad's porch.

Before I went back to work I took Ansel on his first BART ride. We went to Berkeley to Totland. It is a great playground with many push toys and sand, swings, etc. He was not too impressed with BART ride. I couldn't take him out of the stroller to look out the window because the ride was too short while we were above ground. Here is is pushing a train at Totland.

He went from one vehicle to the next, to the next. He was thrilled.
Last weekend, Jeremy and I took Ansel to Lake Temescal, a 10 minute drive up the hill. We are so lucky to have a place like this so near our home. Ansel loves the water. I took him again yesterday but we weren't there 15 minutes when he saw someone eating pizza and decided he'd rather go home and eat dinner.
