Everything was hands on and related to the Bay Area. Note the mini Golden Gate Bridge over which he is pushing the train. The picture that looks like he is swimming is on a waterbed-like material. We had a lot of fun and I feel like it is a place he can grow with doing more activities each time he goes.
On another day, we spent an afternoon at Lake Temescal.
For a couple of months, I have been looking for a boy doll for Ansel. He has his "lovey" blanket who he likes to pretend to feed and uses to cuddle and for security. I felt a doll might be nice to act things out. I found boy dolls dressed as pirates or skaters, baby dolls, but not the "one." Then, we passed by a garage sale a few days ago and there he was - clean, simple, and cute - for $2!! I will need to make some clothes for him. I looked up the original clothes online and they were $35! No thank you. Ansel likes me to make the doll play with his toys or play a drum but he hasn't done it himself yet. We need a name, too. Here he is with the doll.
Well, this week I was back to work teaching summer school. Our evening swim lessons continue and Ansel is doing a great job kicking and blowing bubbles.
Ansel has been saying "come on" a lot and I realized that he is copying me. I never realized I said it so much until my "echo" started!

Rowan loves taking care of his babies. Does he have a stroller for his baby? We have 3 strollers between the 2 kids and they still fight over them. That doll looks super cute, and for $2! Awesome!
No stroller yet! Although he was asking about one in the store the other day...
