More Holiday Antics

Last weekend Ansel and I went to SF to see the lights and do a little shopping. These days I prefer arrive to places which commonly have crowds early. So we went around 9:30 am Sunday which was perfect. Not too many people were around. The St Francis Hotel had a 12 foot gingerbread castle and Macy's had cute SPCA puppies and kittens in the windows. That was it. There was an ice skating rink and tree up in Union Sq., too.
Afterwards, Ansel and I went to Allison's to visit the twins. To me he looks like my little baby still until I see him next to the 2 month old babies.


We bought an inexpensive potty for Ansel at Ikea and we have been reading a book to him about potties. So he likes to sit on his potty and he grunts like he is trying to poop. It is very funny.

Ansel has been doing really well learning to eat with a spoon or fork. He eats his cereal with milk for breakfast by himself now. This morning was particularly cute because both Ansel and Jeremy were sitting eating cereal and looking at bike catalogs.


The weather recently has been alternating between rain and icy cold. We had a clear night last night so Auntie Paulette took Ansel and me to Oakland Zoo's Zoo Lights. All the animals were asleep in their night houses but there were lights everywhere, music shows, a train ride and photos with Santa (which we skipped).



Today I drove up to Vacaville to meet my friend Allison and her two kids. We went on the rides at the Nut Tree and had lunch outside. The weather was cold but sunny and the kids had a lot of fun.
