Busy Sunday

Every year my mom and I do a holiday activity. Now we bring Ansel as well. This year we went to Ardenwood Farms about 30 minutes south. It is a preserved estate/farm and they had a special holiday event this past weekend. We rode the train, listen to jazz Christmas music, visited the animals and met Father Christmas.

"I'm in heaven!"

Grandma Valerie showing Ansel the goats.

Ansel's first introduction to Father Christmas. So much nicer than mall Santas. And it was free to take pics with our own camera!

Ansel ate lunch while chatting to the horses before we left.

Once home I worked on Ansel's Christmas stocking while he "napped." I think it came out quite well. I even lined the inside. And yes I know not to leave it hanging or A will pull the stocking hanger down on his head.

Then Jeremy and Ansel thought it would be funny to walk around in mommy's shoes.

Finally, we walked to the tree lot at the end of the street and picked out our tree. We chose the tree the size of Ansel behind him.

Looks like fun, we met santa today, got a tree this weekend and all that fun stuff. I LOVE the stocking, I wish I knew how to make one as poor
Rowan doesn't have one yet. Are you going to put his name on it (we all have one with our name except Rowan :().

Wow- I'm gearing up for the holidays as well. Ansel's stocking looks great! I had grand plans to knit some stockings, but maybe next year...
