With Uncle Craig, Christmas Eve
Hat made by Aunt Suzanne
We had a fun Christmas morning, just the three of us. By the umteenth present Ansel was getting the hang of ripping the paper off. He loved all his gifts.
We were given an Elmo ornament which he did not allow to stay on the tree because he constantly demanded it to be in his hands.
He did well with not pulling the tree down or breaking anything throughout the tree season. Anyway, he had a great time and then we packed up the car and drove to Morro Bay, a lovey town three hours south of Oakland on the coast. We have rented a house with another family for a week. There were three families total for two nights but our other friends had prior commitments for the rest of the week. The town is full of friendly people and our house is three blocks from the water. We can see Morro Rock from our window. We walk to the harbor to ogle the boats, watch the seals sun bathe and the sea otters play on their backs.
We fed the seals at the Morro Bay aquarium.
I have been sunbathing on the deck and reading during Ansel's naps. Jeremy has surfed and mountain biked. Ansel and Bernadette has become fast friends. It has been really nice to see him excited about another child and wanting the company. It has been a very relaxing vacation.
We played on the beach today. The water was ice cold!

Sounds like a lot of fun! We always visit Morro bay when we go to SLO to see my g'ma and aunt/uncle. There are some cool tidepools there that we took Athena too before Rowan was born (or maybe he was a newborn?). Anyway, it looks like an awesome week. I'm jealous:)
