Ansel turns 2

This weekend we threw a party for Ansel's birthday at a local park. Ansel loved being outside for so long and having so many of the people he loves there. I made a cake which Paulette helped me to decorate like a construction site.






Later in the afternoon, our neighbor was outside making giant bubbles. Ansel and I made one, too.


Ansel did not have a proper nap so he was mellow in the afternoon. He sat on the couch "cutting fruit" for ages.


On the morning of Ansel's actual birthday he opened a few gifts. This is the first time he really understands gifts and cards. This video was twice as long. I did my best to edit.

After dinner, Ansel got a birthday treat which he picked out at the store.
