Oregon Trip, Peaches, and Roseola

Ansel and I flew to Eugene, Oregon last weekend to attend cousin David's graduation (yeah David!!) We had a great weekend visiting with family. Ansel did very well with the flight, taking naps and meeting new people. He especially enjoyed playing with cousins Michaela and Ryan.
We spent some time at Skinner Butte park. It was awesome. Very well designed playground along the Willamette River. Here is Ansel pumping water that turns a wheel at the end of the trough.

We rented a car and were given a bright blue VW Bug. It was fun to drive and Ansel loved it, calling it "Boo" (blue). He has a new book about a little blue truck so he was excited for the real thing.

Ansel has been experimenting with new words and sounds. He copied Jeremy saying "excuse me" this evening but it came out sounding like "me me." Sooo cute.

I officially finished the school year. I will be teaching summer school but am enjoying a break and time with Ansel. Just before school was out Ansel got Roseola
He has not been that sick before but he handled it well.

When he was feeling a little better we went peach picking with Allison, Marina and the babies.
Picnicking after picking peaches.
