Cute Tushie

Ansel has the cutest tushie. He loves naked time.

Ansel is getting quite the personality. He is learning to manipulate me. Mealtimes are spread out over half an hour now as he refuses to open his mouth unless he is being entertained.
Today he figured out that the rolled up piece of paper I gave him works well to push all the rice puffs off the table. When he wants something he screeches at the top of his lungs.
Last night I was nursing him and have a tender moment as I said to him I wish we could stay like this with him as my baby. He reached up and pushed my face away. Then he grabbed my lip with his hand scratching it with his nail. When I turned back to look at him he cracked up. Oh my.
On the changing table he loves to grab my elbow and pretend to eat it. He puts it in his mouth and smiles at me. He's a funny little guy. He gets excited by dogs and cats, the wind in the trees and buses. This initiates more screeching.
He's getting very good at waving good bye. He says "dya" and "ya" a lot now.
My dad thanks me for him daily and calls him "his little boy." He also calls their house the exploritium. Ansel is into everything. He got into a kitchen drawer here and pulled out take out menus and bags and dragged them across the floor.
Watch out world, here come Ansel.

AW man, I can totally relate. Rowan is a screecher too, and now he throws himself backwards too (like a tantrum!). This age is challenging for me, but so fun too. I love his language development and humor. But the super persistent annoying behaviors are a challenge. Thank goodness he is so cute.

Hey chica,

So great to see you all at Oz. I just discovered your blog! (Linked to it from Jim Hayes').

I've got to get one of these set up for Hayden and Serena - especially with their grandparents in four differents states.

Keep up the cuteness!
