The final countdown has begun. I go back to work one week from today. I will be missing the best part of his day - the mornings. I hope I don't miss any firsts - rolling, crawling, laughing.
I joined a mom's support group two months ago and it has been wonderful. This picture was taken at a picnic some of us went on last Monday. The women are great and it has been good for me to get out of the house on a regular basis to a place where I feel supported and comfortable with a baby. We will continue the group on our own although I will be missing some meetings while I am at work. One other teacher in the group and I are the first to go back to work.
The past two days Ansel has been bringing his hands to his mouth a ton to suck on. It is very cute.

I am still very good friends with my mom friends from when Athena was 2 weeks old. It is a wonderful support for me still. Good luck adjusting to work and mom. I know you, if anyone, will do an awesome job at both. Plus, you don't have to leave Ansel at a daycare which is awesome. Be prepared, I know the first few weeks will be rough, but you'll get through it! A # of my friends did it and their children are happy well adjusted 3 year olds, just like mine.
oh he looks so happy and cute! I too am sad to miss mornings with my little bean and sad to miss the moms group.
