Amalia turned 6 months old on October 5th. She is sitting up with minimal support, although she falls easily. She is close to crawling. She rolls over and scoots on her belly, pushing off with her toes. She smiles on cue. Amalia is eating pureed solids and if I stop feeding her before she is finished she yells at me. She makes the cutest num num noises when eating. Anytime someone is eating around her she stares and licks her lips.
We celebrated her first half birthday with half a birthday cake. Ansel helped blow out the candle. Unfortunately, Amalia didn't get to eat any.

Goodness, this is a coincidence. When my wife was pregnant for the first time, we picked a boy's name and a girl's name. On September 6, 2007, Ansel was born; on September 25, 2010, Amalia was born. Those were the names we picked back in 2007.
So how did this coincidence happen? Crazy.
