Pumpkin Time

Last weekend, Ansel, Amalia and I made our annual trip to Davis (Dixon actually this year) to visit a real pumpkin patch with our friends Allison, Scott and Nicole. Unfortunately it rained but we still had fun. I was hoping for a cute picture of Amalia by the pumpkins but kept her warm and dry instead.














I think Ansel will be either a fire fighter or a ghost for Halloween. We have also toyed with the idea of a robot but nothing has been done about a costume so it is doubtful. I don't think he understands that he has to pick only on thing to dress as.


Amalia is a cutie patootie.


We had such a lovely morning today. Ansel and I went to the farmer's market together. It has been raining all weekend and didn't let up for our outing. But, he has boots, a coat and rain pants so he was set. He had a great time splashing and stomping through puddles. It was great for me to just let him have at it knowing he was dry. I love watching him explore in nature. He takes sticks and pokes at things, picks up rocks, points out earthworms, picks up leaves. He has been part of an outdoor play school for about a month and a half now and he loves it. He can explore for ages outside and all that fresh air and exercise wears him out!
