Unfortunately, on that day, it poured down rain - at the end of May! We even heard thunder. So, we made a date with a mom friend and her 3 year old son and new born daughter to go to an indoor play space. We went to a Play Café, a café where adults can sit, sip tea and chat while watching children play in the play spaces all around the perimeter. There was a train table, a dress up area, a kitchen area, a book area and a ball pit. The ball pit was Ansel’s favorite. We had lunch there and came home for nap time.
After nap, grandma Valerie and Granddad Ron came over with cupcakes and gifts. He watched a new video he got and played with his new toys. He wanted to play with everything. He had got a lot of birthday wishes by phone and had a fun day.

He says the funniest things.
Today while in the car he randomly asks, “What a dino-cuter doos?” I think he is mispronouncing something that has to do with logging but I am not sure.
Then while reading a Richard Scarry book about cars he asked, “Can you sing Little Miss Muffet?”
And then he yells out, “Spaghetti-o’s!”
I wish I could hear what goes on inside his head as he is processing everything he sees and hears all day.
Playing with new basketball hoop.
