Spring Break Part2

On Friday, Jeremy, Ansel and I drove up to Mt Shasta for the weekend. We stayed with my friend Sharon and her husband in their weekend home. Their home is on 5 acres with a view of the mountain.


It is lovely. Our hosts were very hospitable and Ansel loved it there.
On Saturday we took Ansel up the mountain to 7000 ft where there was still snow. It had snowed a few days before but the weather was sunny and warm on Saturday.


Here is Ansel's first taste of the snow as we got out of the car.


Ansel loved sledding and being pulled around in the snow. He didn't like walking in it much. Here are a few more pics and a sort of stop motion video of compiled pictures.



On Sunday, the Easter Bunny came by. Ansel looked for eggs among the trees. He thought it was a fun game looking for "ayumms."


After a ride in the log wagon we headed home.


We happened upon this fun hotel of train cabooses. Castle Crags overlooked the motel and the Sacramento River ran alongside it.
