The first thing we saw was the penguin feeding.
Both kids loved feeding the goats and sheep. No fear!
There is a picture like this of me. I'll see if I can scan it in.
Ansel joined outdoor soccer this summer. It was so nice to be outside on the lawn with Amalia while Ansel played. He is getting very good at controlling the ball and small kicks.
Paulette, Jeremy, the kids and I planned to camp on Angel Island one Wednesday. We were all coming from different directions in three separate cars. As it happened, that day, a looney bird holed himself up in a hotel near 580 and shot out the window towards the freeway immediately shutting down the freeway and backing up the Richmond-San Rafael bridge. Paulette and I were stuck which made us miss the last ferry to Angel Island thereby forfeiting our reservations. So, we met up with Jeremy, got on the phone and found a spot not far away in the Tennessee Valley area. We first had to go to the ranger station in Marin Headlands which was very nicely set up and we saw a curious raccoon up close. There were lots of animals bones for Ansel to explore and they gave each kid a workbook. There was no one camping around our campsite and we saw quails, owls and lots of scat.
Tilden Train ride
Lukas came over a couple of times and our neighbor Alessandra, too.
Ansel was part of the summer reading program at the library again this year. He received a coupon for Fenton's ice cream. mmmmmm. It was their first time to Fenton's.
