Unfortunately, Jeremy was out of town on her birthday but I couldn't just let the day pass so I invited my parents, Paulette and Allison over for dinner (P and A were at the birth, too). Paulette brought balloons, Allison brought her kids, and I made lemon raspberry cupcakes.
I took the day off work and we went out in the morning to a local park for a picnic and play time.
Ansel was a big help to Amalia opening gifts and showing her how to blow out the candle.
