Jeremy and Ansel in Frog Park yesterday on the way to the farmer's market. He loves the tunnel slide.
I have to give J huge props for stepping up and helping me more now that I am pregnant. I am still not feeling well and having major issues with the kitchen smells and certain cabinets (don't ask).
hhhhgfdAAAAsggjl. - That is a note from Ansel. I think this is all I'm going to get done as Ansel is being very persistent about typing more!
Later:
Ok, Ansel is now in bed.
I think for the current life span of this blog I have managed to avoid posting my mommy fumbles due to embarassment. As I reflect on the last two years I feel it is time to confess to remind myself that it is ok to be not perfect and I will do my best with the next child but give myself a break if I screw up.
1. When Ansel was about 2 weeks old I was walking in the neighborhood when a young neighbor asked me his name. I couldn't remember. I was so sleep deprived and out of it. I finally remembered and told her. She thought I was nuts.
2. Ansel fell off the changing table while in my charge when he was about 8 months. I was standing next to the table but at one end, I turned to talk to Jeremy behind me and off he flipped. He was fine. J and I were not.
3. I was in the Safeway parking lot within the last 6 months and had parked my full cart against my car while I loaded Ansel into the car. As I strapped him into his car seat I hear someone yelling "excuse me ma'am." I look up and my cart is rolling off down the aisle towards cars and people. Luckily the lady caught it and I ran down to retrieve it. By the way, there needs to be mommy parking near the front of the store so we don't have to drag kids, bags, etc across a parking lot!
4. At our old apartment I was watching A walk down our driveway and trying to get him to come back up without running down and getting him. He would usually stop but kept going toward the steps that led to the garden. By the time I got to the stairs I saw him fall down the last three onto the cement slab at the bottom. He had walked down most of the stairs and I am pretty sure he only fell down about three.
5. Last week A and I were in the front of the house because I needed to do a few things with my car. He had his ball which he insists in kicking into the street. He is very good about stopping at the sidewalk and letting me get the ball. I told him he could pick the ball up when it was in the gutter next to the sidewalk. Well he got a little brazen and decided to kick the ball into the street and then go get it himself even though I had just said don't (I could see what he was about to do). Thank goodness nothing was coming because cars come fast down our street.
That is all I can remember. The rest has been conveniently forgotten. I can laugh about some of them now but other incidences keep me in check.

Huxley fell off the changing table at least twice and off the toilet no less than three times before he was 9 months old. And he is the second child. I do feel better now.
Last week I had to hold Jack down on the floor with my leg while I put a new diaper on him...
Much screaming ensued and it was horrible for all involved.
Lets have a playdate soon, I would love to catch up!
