Summer Fun has Begun

We had a nice quiet father's day last Sunday. Jeremy took Ansel to play disc golf (Ansel sits in the stroller and gets to play with frisbees and watch the birds and trees - happy as a clam). Then we went to my parent's house for dinner. Here are the two dads.

I took Ansel to the Oakland Zoo with two mom friends this week because I have the week off. He liked the elephants, monkeys swinging in the tree, and giraffes.

Today, Ansel, my friend Allison, and I went to pick-your-own farms one hour east of here and picked white peaches and sour cherries. It was so hot. The peaches are gorgeous. They are juicy and sweet and fragrant. Here is Ansel sampling an apricot at a farm stand.

Ansel loves anything with wheels. He went nuts over the tractors at the farm. He even got excited about the mail truck parked in front of our house the other day.
He is imitating a lot now - sounds and signs.
We've started a "swim class" which is more "parent and baby playing in the pool for half and hour." Ansel loves being in the water. The weather has been really warm so it has been perfect for swimming.

Thank you Diana!!! Reading this reminded me that I signed Bdette up for swim classes at Lion's pool, and they start this Saturday....I signed up so long ago, that I had completely forgotten.
