The latest tricks

Ansel will lift his head slightly when on his tummy. He has smiled while awake (not just sleep grins anymore). He listened when I played a musical toy for him. He is starting to look directly at faces and track items put infront of him.
I was opposed to pacifiers but have since recognized Ansel's need for sucking and not always wanting milk from the sucking device. I have now introduced him to the joys of a pacifier. He has not become confused between the real nipple and a fake one luckily. The next step is introducing a bottle so I can get out to run or swim occasionally.
Ansel is still resistent to swaddling but we continue to try it out. He just loves to move. He wants to wave his arms and kick his legs. He likes to be rocked or swayed. I am getting a good work out from having to constantly move. I went to a class at a local store about baby wearing. They showed us various slings and wraps. I found one that works well for us called a Hotsling. I learned the most important thing is a good fit. The other sling I was wearing was too big.

Does this reflect his gas...or yours?....OR mine! I did have ice cream last night. Big mistake. Poor Courtney. hehe.

Ansel's blog is an awesome idea. Could he BE any cuter? He could try, but he would not be successful!
