Ansel is starting to learn humor. Today he asked me if I wanted dust in pancakes. "How about a dust sandwich, mommy?" He went on and on with the dust and food items. He knew he was being silly. I loved it.
Amalia has begun to grab things and "play" with her toys. She has a bent bar that hangs over her bouncy seat. There is a frog that hangs from it and she has figured out how to pull it to make it play a song. She has also begun to sit in her Exersaucer and she will play with the toys on it.
As the summer slips away, I am trying to do lots of fun stuff with the kids. This week we went to Fairyland. Ansel earned a free kids entry with the library's summer reading program (along with a bunch of other coupons and a free book). The place needs a coat of paint but is a lot of fun. Ansel loved it.
Today I took the kids to the Oakland Museum. It has recently been redone and is really nice. We have a family membership this year and I want to take Ansel a lot. There is a Pixar exhibit on right now. Ansel wasn't interested because it was just pictures on the wall and a few statues (models). So we walked through very quickly until we found the room showing shorts. He liked that.
